I'm a Melburnian, and manage a little theatre at a University.
Shoot mainly medium format (Rolleiflex and an Ensign 220 autorange this week!), but dabble in 4x5 and 35mm. B&W mostly, and random projects that go on and on...
my name is Paul and I'm a freelance writer and photographer based in York WA. I shoot anything I can get my hands on 35mm p&s to 5x4 and occasionally dabble with pinhole and alternative processes.
Nicole we were both published in the same issue of Black and White.
I just got back from a two week trip to Victoria, although I did manage a couple of afternoons shooting in Sydney. I did visit the Ken Duncan gallery, which I always do when I am in Sydney. On the way home, I spent almost 3 days shooting in Fiji.
Sorry I missed you. Unfortunately, my laptop wireless died, and I had no access to email or the web except through public terminals, which I don't care to use. I've had so many problems with this laptop, that I'm completely frustrated with it.
Unfortunately, while I was up at Bright it rained most of time. I know they need it, but the resultant overcast didn't make my style of photography any easier. I found myself shooting my F6 most of the time.
Robert, I was thinking of you last Saturday. I was in Hawker in the southern Flinders Ranges and noted quite a few Teague signs for old businesses and some newish ones as well.
Yes, if I had known that you were to be hanging around Victoria for most of your trip, I would have popped up for an evening meet, when I assume you wouldn't be stooping under your dark cloth.
Hi Paul. Welcome to AUG from Melbourne. May I suggest that you introduce yourself in the "Introduce Yourself to the APUG Community" forum, and I am sure you will receive a warm welcome from members all over the world, not just from those who peruse this "Aussie" thread.
