So, sure, I have handheld meters (spot and 30 degree), but on a hike I'd like to attach my small digital meter to a coldshoe.

I don't know if there's any solution for the SWC, since it lacks the utility bar of the 500 models. I don't know if I could clip this on the lens shade (at least that's how I assume it works), since the shade is very narrow and I suspect the meter will block part of the finder. Is that so? If so, anyone have a solution? Thanks, as always!!

Not sure how you would do this. I know that you can fit certain flash brackets to the camera that provide a wonderful grip along with a cold shoe. I don't know that the short lens hood provides the space to attach a clip on shoe???

Thanks. But from the discussion you link, it's not entirely clear to me--and maybe I've misunderstood--that the clamp fits the B60 hood. But that's what you've done, right?
That link is not my post. I do have the above mentioned clip-on device, but mine is for the meter knob. I'm not sure where it is as I don't use it much. I do have the 38-60mm B60 hood, and it clips to that just fine.

The picture linked shows the cold show lens shade attachment (which you linked above) attached to a B60 38-60mm hood, on an SWC, with the meter (Voightlander VC II) attached on the side so the finder is clear - I think this is what you inquired about?

Thanks. That's exactly what I was asking and appreciate the time you took to help.
