ATL 1000 What Chemicals?

Hi all
I'm new here, I found this site by searching for something and it pointed to here and WOW Film and Darkroom Processing/Printing Yes at last . I use a Bronica ETRSi along with a Nikon Coolscan 8000 ED film scanner. Also have access to a Pentax 6x7.

A while ago I purchased, second hand, a Jobo ATL 1000. Now the confusing bit, I'm used to processing colour neg in a Jobo CPE-2 Plus Processor with lift, so been able to just load the drum, press start and know that the consistency of the process is repeatable and accurate was something that attracted me. Also been able to prosess tranies accurately was a draw. But when I was trying it out (for C41) with water in the bottles it seemed to run a 3 chemical stage when i've been used to 2 ie dev blech/fix. Unfortunately I don't have the manual to check if this is correct or not. So at the moment I don't know if the timing for each of the process is correct, or if the wash phases are correct. If it is working correctly can someone point me in the right direction on what C41 chemicals to feed it. Also where in the UK might be the best place to supply chemicals for the various processes it can manage ie E6.

According to the manual, the ATL-1000 is programmed to use a three bath C-41, process. With mine ATL-1000 this is true on the standard C-41 and C-41 +1 settings. But when set to C-41 +2 it actually runs through a 2 bath C-41 process. A bit strange, but it seems to work for me.

so, if the times are allready correct, you could just do: Dev 3:15, Bleach, Fix, then do the rinse and STAB by hand.

I've just done some timing trials with water instead of chemicals and it seems to do Bleach and Fix as separate steps on all 3 of its programme settings. I think this must be an early 1000. I've found a manual second hand which should be arriving in the next few days, anyone have any suggestions on the best make of chemical both C41 and E6 to feed it with, also best place to buy in the UK?

Looking at the E6, it's a 7 bath kit, the final rinse as they put it would probably be best done away from the processor. Looks like the Fuji kit is the same in respects that they both seem to have a final rinse stage chemical mix, hmmm interesting

Thanks for all the help on this, just have to wait for Postman Pat to deliver instructions, then get this thing plumbed in in some way, then chemicals later.
