I love Komar and Melamid. If you ever get a chance to hear a talk by them, don't miss it! Brilliant and hilarious.

This is a massive step forward for chimp photography.

Finally they are getting the acclaim they deserve and perhaps once and for all they can escape the stereotype of just flinging poop as their main artistic outlet.

I think we'll see a lot of new art programs stepping up at zoos as they be trying to cash in on this miraculous art discovery.

I'm thinking a lot of canvas and brushes will be heading their way too.

In fact one day soon you'll hear " humaning" as the term describing looking at the back of a camera.

Hmm... did Ricardo Montalbán have anything to do with teaching that chimp to use a camera?

My first camera was my mother's Kodak Brownie Holiday (?) - and some of my first shots were more blurry than that chimp's (I was quite young).

So much of "art" these days is pure gimmick. Anything to grab attention. The internet bloggers and so-called journalists who slobber over anything juvenile, obvious, tedious, faux-creative.

In before the obligatory, "you hate my Holga and only care about MTF charts."
