At Course, ID11 finished , Instructor wants to switch to Ilfosol ! Is she right or wrong ? She says If we buy ID11 , it will outlast the courses end and Ilfosol is enough for 3 months. My take was we experienced ID11 good or bad and we know now how to use !

I much prefer ID-11 at 1:1. Sure, ilfosol is sharper but ID-11 has better tonality. I’d say if the school is paying for it, they can buy whatever they want. Atleast they still offer traditional classes!

Hello Brian , Students pay everything.

Just keep using ID-11. It's always reliable, and lasts a long time. The powder will last for decades.

Ilfosol comes in liquid form, and the bottle goes bad very quickly once opened. The shelf life of unopened bottles isn't very long either. Unless you're developing a lot of film, the bottle will go bad long before it's used up. You'll end up finding that out the hard way, when you get blank negatives. It's just not worth the trouble.

Doesn't really matter; choose the road of the least resistance. Focus on the images and getting exposure right. The rest is of marginal importance.
