This is the second Astrum order for 2025, and I am very excited to give you guys the opportunity to get some of this awesome film!
Orders are now open until October 18th! Fill out the attached form to let me know what you want, and PM me to let me know you have filled it out.
The films on offer:
Foto-32
A low speed, high contrast, ortho-panchromatic (slightly red sensitive) film that has an extremely fine grain. Can be shot at EI 25-100 to varying degrees of contrast. This is a sound recording film (either Kodak 2378 or ORWO TF 12D), also sold as Washi-S, and FPP’s “Svema blue sensitive”.
Although this film can be used with normal B&W developers, I have found a developer recipe that works extremely well with this film, called H&W control. It gives a nice contrast, and the film can be exposed up to EI 80! I will also be offering this developer here, in 100ml bottles. Examples on 35mm, developed in H&W control:
250% crop to show detail:
FN-64
A 100 ISO, extended red sensitivity film with a nice grain structure that captures detail well. This is a very popular film, and one of my favorites. This film is Aviphot 80. Examples on 220:
IR-200
For those that like shooting IR, but don’t like having to use a super low EI, this is the film for you! This film appears to be an old areal emulsion, and has slightly more sensitivity than even Aviphot 200. It may be the same as FOP BW IR, but I am not sure.
Sensitive up to 775nm, this film performs extremely well with a 720nm IR filter, allowing IR exposures metered at EI 25-50, 1-2 stops faster than Aviphot 200. Examples at EI 50 with a 720nm filter on 120:
Note: this film is on a very thin, 0.06mm PET, so carful handling is required.
Formats available (prices on order sheet):
FN-64
IR-200
Shipping to the US will be a $20 flat rate, except for ULF, aerial rolls, and backing paper, which will be a $30 flat rate.
