DESCRIPTION: Asahi Pentax 6x7 MLU SLR Body With SMC 45/4 Lens & Front Cap, TTL Finder, Hoya Skylight Filter. Camera Serial # 4133640. Lens serial # 8479059.TTL Prism serial # 581276. Battery for body not included. As shown.

CONDITION: Purchased from photographers estate…Very nice looking camera set with virtually no finish wear, but does have a ding/dent on the top of the prism (I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that didn’t.). Camera body and finder mount needs light seals and or foam cushion. Battery tested meter/finder is working fine and has a clear view. There is usually an accessory ring that fit’s around the shutter dial which aides in changing shutter speeds when this metered prism is attached, however, one is not included with the camera. Shutter speeds can still be changed, it’s just a little easier with the ring. Battery tested and all shutter speeds work and sound ear accurate. Lens is excellent too, glass is beautiful with no scratches, fungus or haze. Blades are clean and snappy. Smooth focus.

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE...PLEASE READ

When I first got this camera, having not used one in a while, I searched the web for a manual to find out how to fire the shutter without film. I remembered there was a trick to it. So, after reading the procedure, I checked the shutter operation and all was well. So, I listed the camera here. I was wondering why nobody wanted the kit. I didn't think the price was too high. But, no sale...So, after I had inquiries about splitting the set up and selling the camera separate from the lens, I closed the one listing and re-listed it with the option to buy it separated. Still not much luck. So, this morning I decided to put a roll of film in the camera and do further testing. As I was preparing to do that, I noticed that the finder was loose from the body a little bit when I picked the camera up. And while I was fiddling with it, I took notice of something I didn't catch before...Some mounting pins were missing...In fact, one pin is missing and the other is broken off...Even when I shot the pictures for the listing I didn't notice it and just re-mounted the finder...Anyway, I looked up some pictures of this camera body and realized the top of the camera is supposed to have a pin on each side of the viewing screen at the front which the finder actually sets on. Again, having not used one in a while, and since the finder was already attached when I did my first shutter test, I didn't notice the pins were not there. So (almost done here), I want everyone to know that I wasn't trying to pull a fast one on anyone, I simply missed something. Apparently the pins don't have any bearing on the operation of the finder/meter because it all worked when I tested it. However, the prism is not as secure as it should be.
