Could someone make a suggestion for a starting asa fot this film with a red filter or an opaque filter?
Thanks

I usually rate at 400ASA and then bracket each shot.

Kodak recommended an exposure index of 80 in daylight or 200 in tungsten light without a filter. With a No. 25, 29, 70, or 89B filter Kodak recommended an EI of 50 and 125. I usually exposed through a No. 25 filter at f/22 and 1/25 second in bright midwestern sunlight for normal development.

400 ASA here as well, I let my rangefinder camera measure through the red filter (B&W, filter factor 3) and most exposures were right in direct sunlight or under tungsten lights.

I started out using Jim's basic set-up for late-day sun, and yes with a 25 or 29 red filter it is basically f8 at 1/250. I meter with an incident meter set at ISO 50, and that's about what it usually comes to.

I shoot at 200asa with a red 23 or 25 (TTL) thats about 40 hand held meter.

At risk of everyone thinking I'm from Mars, I have shot probably 100 or more Kodak I/Red films & my best results ended up being rated at 800 & dev. in Microphen at 24 deg. If I ever rated it at 50 I'd always get dense unprintable negs. I realise I was actually 'pushing' it a bit at 800 and compensating in the dev. but it worked for me... many times.
Oh... and all this was with the Red 25A filter & camera on auto expose.
