Visited the Art Gallery of South Australia today, to view two free photographic exhibitions:
- Public Images, Private Lives
- The Modern Image - the photographs of Gwendolyn Morris, Esther Bayliss and Joyce Waterhouse: 1910s-1930s
The first shows images from both Australian and international photographers, depicting portraits from the 1800s through to 2000s.
The second, is a an exhibition of 3 South Australian female photographers who captured a variety of images from both Australia and international locations. The images of London were particular favourites for me, as was a wonderful image of Norway.
Morris' "New Special Sibyl" camera is also on display - what a great little camera!!
