I am selling a somewhat uncommon Arsat H for Nikon F mount. This lens was made in either the Ukraine or the former Soviet Union, I'm not sure which. The lens is in excellent condition in all respects.
The Arsat 50/2 has a very good reputation optically and some say it was based on the Zeiss Biotar. It is compact, fairly light, and delivers excellent images if the examples on Flickr are any guide.
David, your lens was manufactured in the Arsenal factory in Kyiv, Ukraine, probably in the mid-1990's.
It uses the Zeiss Planar lens formula, 6 elements in 4 groups.
Excellent performer for both film and digital.
