I'm using this film to make interpositives and enlarged negatives. I'm using Dektol as the developer. I'm using Ilford Rapid fix, but don't know if I should be using film or paper dilution? With films I fix (1:4) 5-10 minutes, with paper I fix (1:9) 2 minutes. I don't want to overfix the Arista film.
Probably doesn't matter much. Watch it under a red safelight. Time how long it takes to clear and leave it in the fix for twice that long in total.
Make sure you use a deep red safelight. An OC safelight will fog the film.
We have used it for years in Kodak Rapid Fix at paper strength, 5 minutes or so.
Except for wasting time, I don't believe there will any significant damage if the film is over-fixed -- especially since I believe the Ilford Rapid Fix has no hardener, and there is no paper to absorb the fixer (so washing times will not change, no matter how long the litho film is in the fixer.)
