Or: Argust 23rd

An 'event', not a 'contest', the Argus Collectors Group encourages those who have Argus cameras to load film and take some pictures on the 23rd. You may then send two selections to the ACG for online display.

The invitation, plus an index to past years. Argus Day began in 2001 and, with some occasional hiccups, has continued. The day advances by one for each year. (Not sure what happens after Argust 31st, but at my advanced age it may not matter! 🙃 )

And I just bought my first Argus! :D

Hopefully I'll have some shots ready to go by the 23rd.

Well the official rule is to actually take the pictures on Argus Day. They then allow a month or two to process and send them in. That has become especially necessary as many now have to allow for mailing back and forth to use a commercial processor quite some distance away.

Anyway, hope you participate, I plan to have my C-3 out -- might even treat it to some of my remaining Panatomic-X! 😎

Maybe I'll drag out my Geiss modified C4 with a Lithagon lens and try a few shots.

I always forget about it, but I'll probably participate this year. I just got my Argus 21 Markfinder working well.
