For UK members, may I pass on a newsletter release from Arena about the annual not-for-profit weekend seminar, which this year will be held on a different date (May) and at a new venue - we have moved from the historic Elizabethan 'Ufton Court' to the modern comfort of the Riviera Hotel in Bournemouth.

It's very informal, good fun and inter-active.

Although the event is always booked out, the early booking discount has just been extended for a short period. Most of the regular attenders will have received the newsletter today through the website mailing service but for the rest here is clipping from it ...

Welcome to the January Newsletter from Arena.
Arena Seminar 2008
Reservations are going well for the Arena Seminar in May, and in order to extend the festive season just a little bit longer, we have extended our early booking discount until the 31st of January! Always a very popular event, we once again have a very strong line-up of top quality speakers arranged. This weekend will do more for your photography than any piece of camera hardware, so give yourself a treat and a little holiday by the sea by booking a place on the seminar. It would be great to see some new APUG faces in 2008

I'm sure you would enjoy it. It's a fun event that's done just for the pleasure of doing it. (We just have to cover expenses).
If you (or any APUG members) do attend, make yourself know to me or the other arena/apug folk and we'll introduce you around.

Last year was very enjoyable, unfortunately this years event has been but back so I'm afraid I am booked elsewhere. To those that can make it, I recommend attending.
