What does something have to be in order to be art?

When I or anybody else says it is.

I found when I was selling for a reasonable price (for me anyways) not many were sold. When I boosted my prices I was selling more.....Go figure. Got that idea from a professional painter who owns a shop.

I can't pick one, I spend about 20-30 hours a week on photography but am not an artist...What am I??

The last time I spent 20-30 hours a week on photography, I was unemployed (happily). If artist = unemployed, so be it.
