Having just picked up an old Fujica AZ-1 that could really use a CLA, I wonder if anyone has a recommendation on where to send it.

Is there a known reliable "Fujica Guy" (kinda like Mark Hama for Yashica and Eric Hendrickson for Pentax)? Or failing that, any shop that would do well and is trustworthy with mailed items?

I'm pretty sure there is not a suitable place within comfortable driving distance from where I am.

You might ask Nippon Photo Clinic in New York, but I don't know if they work on older models.

Otherwise, Frank Marshman (CameraWiz) seems to be able to work on anything, and he often won't charge for something he can't fix, even if he's put some labor into it--1-800-471-8133.

David, thanks for the leads.

Now on its fourth roll, the AZ-1 seems to be reliable enough except for a small quirk: the film advance lever doesn't return by itself. At first I thought it was jamming, but I think this is all it is. After you push the lever to the right with your thumb, you have to pull it back to the left before shooting. I can possibly put up with that (see if it frees up with yet more use?), replace the light seals and mirror foam myself, and save the repair money.

Otherwise it's a fairly nice camera, with one of the better SLR viewfinders I've come across. And it came with an assortment of EBC primes including the yummy 35/1.9.
