I wish my Nikkormats would quietly reproduce in the night. I've even thought of having them baptised and confirmed to help the process along.

Yes, it would be great as well. I've tried, but my black Nikkormat EL doesn't want to reproduce with my silver Nikomat FTN. I don't know if it's because electronic cameras don't like mechanical cameras, or if the cameras are having a very silly racial fear. "Black is beautiful!", i always tell to the Nikomat.

ELs are true elitists. An FTN will never be more than a concubine to an EL, in the fine old tradition of ancient China. Or in the case of Nikkormats/Nikomats, should we not be making such comparisons with the mating rituals of Japanese Samurai...

If you own a Canon F-1 then the FTb does not become addictive.
Canon F-1s are addictive, on the other hand.
Aint that the truth I currently have five of them (well four at home and one that's away being serviced for a shutter fault). but I still have an FTb body that I bought second hand about thirty odd years ago for £20 that I still have it was my only camera for about five years
