Who are some of the more well known architectural photographers?

Julius Shulman comes to mind immediately - he shot a lot of iconic images of modernist buildings. There is a great documentary about him that I've yet to catch.

Ezra Stoller was another one of the greats.

He has a couple of how-to books that provide a good foundation for those who have the basics of photography mastered and want specialized knowledge about architectural photography.

I think most of the well known ones still working are regional...some of the most well known in Boston are not well known in Chicago...and so forth.

I'd add David Heald - esp. his "Architecture of Silence". And from the old masters don't overlook Frederick H. Evans.
