Arches Platine Acidification?

Folks,

I reviewing posts about AP, some people have recommended that it be acidified with oxalic. I'm about to try some and was wondering what current users have to say about it. Needed, helpful, or not needed?

I have never had to do anything to this paper. It is one of my faves for that reason BTW. Some folks might, best thing to do is coat a small piece and run a test for your particulars, but like I said, I've never needed to do anything but use it.

I think this is the thread that prompted me to ask, although the OP seemed to be talking about a pure pd print:

I've never had to acidify or size Arches Platine for Pt/Pd or Ziatype. These are the only processes I use but there may be other cases where the acidity of the paper is particularly important.

Realize that papers change all the time. Don't rely too much on info posted from two years ago...

I use AP for pure PD , Pt/Pd, Kallitype , Cyanotype and never noted need for acidification. good humidity seemed to be useful however....
