I'm looking into buying a 6x9 Arca Swiss. Can anyone tell me what kind of monorail this camera has? I'm familiar with the fixed monorail, and the telescoping one (with the levers), as well as the collapsible one. I've also seen the old rails with the knobs. But this looks like a modern rail with a knob. Is this a telescoping rail?

The pictures aren't the greatest--it seems to me like maybe it could be a telescoping rail with a knob instead of a lever, but I can't find any photographs of a similar type of rail.

Also, does anyone know what the "TV antenna" looking thing is? I used to have an F-line 4x5 and for the life of me I can't figure out what that is...

I assume the bent wire to act for two purposes: to substitute the here at Apug often referred to tinfoil-hat, and to hold the dark-cloth.

It keeps the dark cloth from mussing up your beautiful haircut

That makes sense.

Now, any ideas about that monorail knob?

The rail is 3-parts. One lower, two upper parts . There are 2 knobs. Easy to see.
And the standards each sit on a different upper rail.

Thus this is a telescopic construction.
