Arca Swiss Monoball Z1 sp

I want to use a Really Right Stuff BII LR2 lever clamp with an Arca Swiss Monoball Z1 but want to screw it in from above rather then spinning it on to the exposed post of the monoball.

Has anyone taken the Arca Swiss clamp off the Z1 Monoball that came with a factory clamp and screwed on another manufacturers clamp?
