I needed shutter cables so I took the opportunity to buy a dozen from Arax Foto in Kiev. (https://araxfoto.com) They arrived this afternoon -- the very best shutter cables the Soviet Union could make in the 1980s.

It breaks my heart to see a large European war of Russian aggression playing out on Ukrainian soil. I am too old to go do something about it. But I can support Ukrainian businesses. Every little bit helps. Slava Ukraini!

I have an ARAX 60 that needs to be repaired. For some reason or the other I am unable to get in touch with them using email. I shall give it another try.

Fingers crossed they are able to resume operations to normal in a free country.

I had two cameras repaired there about a year ago, when things were much worse near Kiev. I hope they can continue to operate...
