hi Valerie,
thank you for your reply...i apologize in not responding sooner.
the past ten days have been beyond "busy"...in a good way.
you live in a pretty neck of the woods, so to speak.
i enjoyed your gallery here...gotta love the cars and the over lapped negatives (how did you do that?) and your panos (fiallllly started using my lomo bel-air 6x12 - using the 6x9 mask starting off) and especially your portraits...more! more!
i "sold" four of my galveston oriented black and white prints and two on-the-beach black and white portrait sessions at the jamaica beach fire department july 4th (held on the 5th) BBQ dance and silent auction - now THAT was a run-on/run-away sentence!!!
anyway, they went for waaaaay less than i had them valued at on the bid sheet.
i am tickled to have raised some money for our department (i am a volunteer fireman-in-training). this fall i start working on my state certification...
...and equally tickled four of my prints are displayed in four different homes.
now if they garner some interest and generate some sales - THAT will be huge!!!
the 16x were made with my rolleiflex 6002 and mamiya 6 and my beat up old P 6x7... the 11x was made with the P 6x7.
just recently i put together a more streamlined film processing set up for 8x10. i want to re-photograph some of the scenes from my sold prints on my 1905 seneca city view 8x10.
aaaackkk, sorry to go on-and-on.
oh, last week i finalllllly joined the galveston art league.
i will get in touch with christophercoy.
drop me a line if you are headed to the coast...we live out on the west end of the island.
laugh more, smile more.
