hi all.
(I'll post this in subforum Scandinavia also)

I'm in doubt...

We decided here at Vrå Højskole, Nothern Denmark, Europe, to plan an APUG meeting in early june 2008.

The very same day, I got a mail from Per Volquartz, asking whether we could make an APUG meeting in early september, as he then is in Denmark, making a course.

so now the question is:

would june (four days (!) from 4-6th) be best or a weekend in early september? (excact date is not available, as I am waiting to get those from Per)

first the idea was to make this a Scandinavian meeting, but I think all interested should have the chance to meet.

We have a big school with rooms to stay - a VERY good kitchen, and of course areas to talk - demonstrate and work. (studio and darkroom).

the price is not fixed yet, but for four days - all inclusive (stay - food -lectures - demonstrations and studio/darkroom use) will proberly be around:

single room 350$
double room 300$

how does this sound?

and what option would you prefer (if any)?

I have made a (small) description on my home page.

Early June is "concert season" for me, so September would suit me better.

Most of the time from April through June I'll either be away at work, or be just about to give a concert somewhere...

The Photo3 event is also in June, so September would allow me (and maybe some others) to budget it, if I could somehow make it happen.

I would come that far to hang with you.

September for me too, I'm going on a business trip for over two weeks sometime in the beginning of June.

Is that Vrå south of Hjørring we're talking about? If so, it's less than an hour's drive from the Fredrikshavn ferry terminal.

It will be fun!

:D That would be loads of fun! But I have committed to be in the US in June and the mula just doesn't stretch as far as Denmark this year... and the water's too cold to swim up your way! Next year maybe?

I'd very much like to come but can't commit to a little later dependent on how other commitments pan out! Not been to Denmark for over 20 years or so - not sure there will ever be a better excuse if one were needed

would like to meet you - I have a feeling that this is going to be fun and interesting!!

we'll keep an opening for you - but of course; as soon as you know, let me know...

I am coming! My employer thinks this is important for my work so he is willing to pay for the trip and let me take some days off. (OK, the company is my own, but anyway... I am good to my employees.)
