APUG MEET, April 30th or May 1st 2016 - for Holland, Belgium, Germany

It seems there wasn't an APUG meet in Holland for a long time. And since I got talking about this with two other members from Holland and Germany I thought I'll try to get some more people interested and organize one.

We're planning for Saturday 30th of April, 2016 or Sunday 1st of May. The location will be somewhere in the province of Gelderland, The Netherlands. Everybody is welcome, especially all APUG-ers from Holland, Belgium and Germany. We're thinking about an informal meeting in a town like Apeldoorn, Deventer, Arnhem or Enschede. Sharing stories, talking about photography and gear, a walk and shoot through the city or surroundings, etc. Maybe even a small shooting contest just for fun?
We could visit the Open air museum (=Openlucht Museum) in Arnhem, or the Kröller-Müller Museum in "Park De Hoge Veluwe" in Otterloo. Just let me know what you like.

Depending on how many people are willing to come I'll find a nice location to meet and to have some coffee. I could bring some gear too for people to try.

So let me know if you're interested, if you prefer Saturday or Sunday and what you would like to do.
And please block this weekend on your calendar just in case. It won't be cancelled - even if we're just with two or three people.

As already mentioned - April 30th or May 1st 2016 will be reserved for an APUG MEET. I would prefer Saturday, 30th of April, but Sunday, 1st of May works for me too.

I've noted the date. Suggestion: Why not post this in the main (U.S.A.) APUG too? I just happened to see this by accident (I live in Paris, but as an American, I tend to frequent that forum when I come here). Just a thought.

And, by the way ... now I'll visit her more often, too!

I'm postponing the APUG meeting of April 30th, 2016.

First off all, this all started with me and macfred wanting to meet each other. Second: it seems the weather forecast for next weekend isn't looking too good (cold, rain). And third: there is a family matter that weekend that I need to tend to and I'm not sure yet how I can get around that. So macfred being injured and all made me decide to postpoon.

Another thing is this. There will be an alt-photo & silver gelatin print exhibition organized in Amersfoort by a group of people practicing "historical photographic processes". This will be the first exhibition I'll be participating in (with carbon and salt print). This show is open every weekend from May 15th until June 11th (Saturday/Sunday 10.00-17.00 h.). If you're interested we could include a (short) visit to this exhibition, have a photo walk around the old inner city of Amersfoort and have a lunch/drink together. Or we can stick to the old plan by visiting the town of Deventer (more to the east) depending on where we all are travelling from.

I'll send a PM to all persons interested so far in this meeting to find a new date for us all to meet. We'll have this discussion/consultation through the PM and post the final decision here. So please think about a suitable date (between May 15th and June 11th?) and the location (Amersfoort of Deventer).

May 28th could be another option for me.
I'm a bit lazy about writing - it took about half an hour to post this ...

I really would like to see the exhibition and a photo walk around Amersfoort sounds good.

Bert, just catching up on the latest information. My bad, I had almost-but-not-completely forgotten about this meeting. I know it was planned, I know it was planned for the end of April, and a separate part of my mind knows it is now near the end of April, but these two parts of my mind didn't work together until just now. So, for me it is actually a good thing that it doesn't take place tomorrow, it would have been unexpected despite the fact that it has been planned a long time ago.

For future dates, I'll have to check. I'll get back to you on that.
