The end of September would be a good time to have a get together, we said we would meet up and show a few prints. Can we agree a date and venue, at the last meeting we suggested a Hotel lobby, I was in Temple Bar Hotel lobby and thought it would make a good meeting venue. Any other suggestions or ideas. Shoud we start a new tread for this "get together"

Eddie sounds like a good idea to me. Count me in. Lets make it a Saturday after lunch. Remember it is open to everyone that is interested in the formation of a group without frontiers ( unless they are digital ones)

Cheers

So we are talking about Saturday 26th September 2:30pm, all we need is a venue.

Eddie thought that the lobby in the Temple Bar Hotel looked good. So lets make it SATURDAY 26th Sept. @ 2:30 pm in the TEMPLE BAR HOTEL LOBBY.
All in favour raise your hands.

Cheers

I'm going to miss out on this one again I'm afraid..
I'll shall be sitting in the sun, by the pool, sipping ice cold sangria in Portugal that day..
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it

Enjoy!

So far we have 6 people hoping to attend next Sat., which is a nice number for showing prints. But of course if more people attended it would be even better. So we're talking about next Saturday 26th September 2:30pm in the Temple Bar Hotel.

Cheers

On reflection I think that with 7 people showing up and all bringing work it was a successful get together. I enjoyed meeting everyone and looking at their work. There is something to be said for meeting in an hotel lobby, the meetings can be more casual and people can have a drink. I will however check out the alternative venue in the meantime for our next meet-up end of Jan. or early Feb.2010.

Cheers

Great to hear it went well, Tex!

That website is good. I signed up to it some six months ago I'd say.

Haven't been on it in a while.

Another site I registered with recently is http://www.f295.org/Pinholeforum/forum/Blah.pl

which deals with pinhole photography. I'm building my own pinhole 6x6 camera at the moment

and this site is a great resource for ideas and inspiration.

Cheers,
Seoirse.

Also enjoyed the weekend meet up, something I thought I would mention is that I had seen Hugh's work at Peoples Photography where we both exhibited so I considered myself to be familar with his recent work, not so, it was a totally differant experience to handle discuss and look at the prints up close in a relaxed setting.
I also looked at the site, very familar in layout, enjoyed a good article on builing a darkroom in a garden shed. Looking forward to next meet up, and to producing some new work to show.

Yes, this was a very enjoyable afternoon - good to meet you all again (or in some cases for the first time) - I picked up a lot of useful tips and information too. Looking forward to the next one ...
