I wish you the best of luck , Sean . Here are two classic pitfalls to look out for.

1. Make sure that all code hackers agree on whether to start register counting on 0 or 1 .
2. Watch out for the leap year gremlin when it comes to calendar construction.

Please don't ask me how I know.

You'll need one of those indicators that show up when you are installing software.

naaaaah he just needs to have a mobious music / video loop of legendary metal band "europe" singing final countdown
( and a random timer counting .... )

I do not want that Brian. If I move from Philadelphia to LA, will that diminish my aging process by at least three hours? - David Lyga

Coming back from Vietnam, the trip was 22 1/2 hours. So I got back an hour and a half before the plane took off. Technically I had a day of my life to do over. You could give that a try. Just make sure to travel eastward, so that you don't cross the dateline getting there, or you will lose a day. ;-)

On another note, will Tapatalk still work with the new system? Anyone know?

I will save my software migration horror stories for after the site is back up and running.

May the force be with you! Where I work, we've been migrating and rewriting old systems over to a new, currently supported environment, and we're almost done with the conversions. I feel your pain.

medieval helpdesk for introducing new systems

Hi Sean,
Introducing a new system is always a big strain for the helpdesk. That's a fact of live, even since the middle ages.
So here is a tip to deal with this by learning from history - the story of a medieval helpdesk in a monastery after introducing the book:

(Here is the direct link to the video (since video won't be migrated): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQHX-SjgQvQ&list=PL0EA72F3CBA64EB43

Damn. Now you've got me listening to Woody Guthrie Dust Bowl ballads on YouTube. Oh well. There's worst ways to spend the time...
