A few years ago on vacation I ended up chatting up an electric utility pensioner while my wife browsed his yard sale. I was interested to hear about life in the wires and he was glad to reminisce. After an hour and a couple of glasses of lemonade he insisted that I take some of his gear since he would use it no more. One of the items was this multimeter. It was his last meter and I think it would please the old gent if someone were using it, so I would like to offer it for free to someone here with the proviso that it be something the recipient will actually use. Just donate a couple of dollars to APUG to defray shipping costs.

Best regards,
Jon

This unit looks like a decent unit for coverage. It shows DC / AC / Voltages / Ohms (continuity) as well as a clamp around jaw. Typically, as I recall the clamp around was used for reading amperage on a given lead that the jaw was clamped around. Very multifunctional device.

Not bad. Probably better than Radio Shack. It's no Fluke, but not too shabby.

I'd say getting it for free would be a "fluke"!

Doh! Sorry for not posting this on DPUG

Thanks to another APUGer for the generous 'overbid'. The meter is on its way to a new home.
