Another comparison up on my web site. Each lens has a different look, different personality. The set up is identical in all 8. I've included 600+ kb enlargements behind the web page pics so you can get in and analyze the differences.

All are 8X10 and done with a Century 10a Studio camera. Several of the lenses haven't been used in a comparison before.

Hope folks aren't getting tired of these little jaunts.

As usual these comparisons are very interesting and informative to those of us interested in how different lenses render a subject.
Thanks,
Jim

Well, it's 2:49 AM and I'm not thinking too well. Exhausted myself printing. I made a first print of the paper neg apricot blossom done with the 18" Hyperion and all I can say is, it's remarkable. The combination of lens diffusion and paper neg is different than anything I've seen in a very long time.

I'm flattered that many of you have asked me about buying prints. I normally simply don't go there. But this picture is so different I've decided to make 6 extras and offer them to my friends here for $45. Mounted or unmounted, your choice. I'll be printing on Adox #2 fiber paper. 6 only this time.

What a coincidence Jim, it's nearly 4 and I'm doing a quick wash on my prints. Noting the time I will re-wash tomorrow. I'm loving that Cooke Series IIA! Gorgeous. The Gundlach has a glowing fuzziness I find pretty attractive too. Do you take souls, or cash only?

Hi Justin! Cash or PayPal works. No souls required. Cheers. Jim
