I have a 690 here with the little plastic knob that attaches to the lens' speed setting ring having fallen off. It isn't broken off, it has the nubs that fit into the alignment holes, it looks like the glue has come... unglued.

I'd like to reattach this plastic piece. But what glue is appropriate?

I don't want to gum up the lens, or do something that'll come apart too easily. Figured it was best to ask.

A glue that I have used and can recommend is Loctite 60 sec.universal glue. It is a cyanoacrylate.
Glue on one surface, sparingly, hold for about 1 minute and it's good to go.
For best results make sure to scrape off any dried glue from the surface you are regluing.

I actually have this specific glue in my toolbox! So that's easy. I'll give it a try in the morning.

Fingers crossed.
