Oh yes, my Man. Saw a big retrospective of his in Cleveland some years ago. Bought the giant, heavy catalog. He shoots a lot, but has a lot more winners than Winogrand!

I only recently 'discovered' Lee Friedlander's work...I've known of him primarily through his shots of Jazz artists and other celebs....but never really explored his work.
I find his shots amazing. Almost everyone pulls me into them directly. They all tell a story.
His compositions are eye and mind grabbing to me in a very powerful way.
I'm studying his street photography not to imitate it, but rather, to open my eyes and be more aware of the fantastic in the ordinary.
If nothing else, he has taught me to take more pictures.

What camera is around Lee Friedlander's neck here. It seems to have been a favorite of his for a large number of pictures during that era
