I have a Nikon D90 which has not had a lot of use (approx 8000 shutter actuations). It is working well and is reliable. I have also just bought a Nikon D300s for not a lot of money and this has also had relatively little use (approx 17000 actuations). Both cameras are of course DX format. I have noticed when comparing identical images from the different cameras fitted with the same lens (Sigma 17/70 F2.8/4) and with the same exposure under the same lighting conditions using RAW/NEF; the D300s images appear to have just the edge on clarity and definition ( In all aspects the camera internal settings are exactly the same in both). I believe the sensor is the same in both cameras.

Am I seeing/imagining things or could there be that subtle difference?
