Howdy all, new to the forum but I've been shooting film for about 2 and a half years now, the place that I used to get my films developed and scanned is closing down and I want to look into processing them myself. The wet stuff and darkroom I have down fine, access to the equipment I used when I was in high school, but the thing I'm having problems with is scanning them into my computer. I've been given an OVT Film/Slide scanner and it just won't communicate with my computer, I've tried importing through Picassa (blegh, picassa!) and that worked, albeit slowly.
Basically I was wondering if there is a less ''clunky'' way to do this? ie. a piece of scanner software that lets you plug in, click and save as JPEG/RAW?

Again apologies if this is in the wrong forum but didn't know where to start.
Many thanks

EDIT: Attached is a picture of the scanner
EDIT2: If anyone has the driver software for this that they could send me that would be mighty helpful
