I,ve been wishing a 600mm lens for 8x10 for some time and was on the lookout for a fujinon 600 c.
I,m currently in Japan traveling and have come across a voightlander Apo Skopar 60cm in a self cocking American shutter , (from memory Rapidax or something like that)
The lens looks fine, is a least single, maybe multicoated, shutter needs a service , the asking price is $600 US
i,ve searched around a best i can and only came up with , its a good lens
it,s about half the price of what fujinons go for. my Questions :
does it sound like a good deal ?, is the shutter servicible ? , would in worst case scenario the shutter be replaceable ? and is it a great lens for general 8x10 work ?
any assistance greatly appreciated
