APH-09 new packaging bottle does not open

This child protect on bottle is so strong that even I cannot open it! Ilford, Agfa... other bottles are ok. On the end I cut it and refilled in another bottle. Anybody else had this problem?

It's a special design -- if you can't get the bottle open then it will last forever

I have some Adox R09 One Shot which opened easily, but it's a bit tricky to see if it is the same design of childproof cap as in your example. Decanting the bottle in to another was a practical solution to the problem.

This happens to me with Ilford developers often. The remedy is to pull off the outer (black) part of the cap, not easy - this part works as a child proof cap - and unscrew the exposed (white) cap beneath.

Darko, the Adox cap on your picture looks exactly the same as the one on their larger 1.2L bottles which gave me a lot of trouble years ago when trying to open their ADOTOL WA ans NE bottles.

I wonder how good Tetenal bottles are as I have notice they have changed them. The old ones were very good, caps as well.
