I recently bought a mint electronic grip and shutter release cable for my Horseman VH-R. Instructions were included, all in Japanese. There are illustrations that help, but I can't figure out how to attach the cable release to the shutter. The illustrations show the exact black model of cable release that I have. On the lensboard, there is a vertically mounted receptor holder, which does not match with my cable release. Anybody's thoughts, ideas appreciated. The lensboards I have are the latest model and differ from early boards.
Thanks

I have a connector for the flash grip that is designed to fit the older type lensboard connectors( the end isn't threaded but a short barrel with a groove) like with a 980.
I can't figure out how to post photos, but if you can it might help.
You have er lenses?

I don't have any eletronic stuff for my VH-R, but this is the removable solenoid that works with the grip. It should be removable and movable to other horseman lenses. I suspect this is what @Chuck1 has.

The ER lenses on the other hand had a solenoid on every lens board, so the connection would be different, and I'm not sure what that cable would look like.

(this lens board looks to have the standard mechanical shutter release for pre ER lenses.)
