I recently picked up an X-Rite 880 to run control strips through my processor. I have used one in the past but have never had to configure one. I am curious to know that if I plan to plot my readings manually, can the configuration be set to the Kodak preset? Or is the software still runnable on current laptops to do a custom configuration?

I don't have any computer software for mine, I just read the values off the screen; Section 9 "Viewing Data" in the manual.

Will you be using pre-made strips or making them yourself?

Hi ic-racer,

I don't think I worded my original post correctly so let me explain a bit more. I calibrated the machine with the strip they provide and will be using the densitometer to run Kodak RA-4 test strips. From there I want to plot the readings to keep track of how long the chemicals are lasting etc...

After reading more into the configuration it seems to me that this really only has to do with if you are exporting the data to a computer or printer. Is that correct? Maybe that is a more efficient way to keep track than plotting manually?

I just read the values from the screen and plot them in a spread-sheet.
