I've got a couple films to order from Ilford's ULF Campaign this year, (yay!!) and was contemplating their 9cm roll film for use in my Kodak Autographic 3A which takes 122 film. I'm using 120 film with a homemade mask, as well as cut down sheet film in it now, but only because I can't get the "proper" film size. 122 film is closer to 92mm than 90mm, so I'm wondering if anyone has actually had success using this for this purpose? 90mm should span the film gate, but not perfectly. Anyone able to share experiences? I don't think their 9cm offering was intended for 122 use, so I'm wondering if anyone has had success with this before I actually place the order.

I'd try a vernier calliper on your camera.

Planning on getting a roll of this for my #3 Kodak which uses 118 which also made a 3.25 width negative tho an inch and a quarter shorter in the other dimension. I'll have to slit it as the width of the film in the roll i have is about 85mm wide. Interesting that 122 was wider with the same size negative width?

look at the ilford thread from last year. there might be a #of rolls minimum / threshold to make
the rolls fly.

good luck !

122 film was 3¾", which is 95.25mm.

I don't see much in the way of roll film in this years' ULF.

There are rules in this years ULF thread.
If they don't get sufficient orders to run the cutter you don't get any film.

While 122 film might be "nominally" sized at 3.75", the spool/backing paper/film gate isn't quite that large, and the film itself (or at least the old Kodak stuff I have) is a hair smaller than 92mm, which is why I thought some people might be using the 9cm film Ilford makes. I was just hoping to avoid some edge curl issues through the film gate, and use it without modification....although I could just make another mask that would accommodate something 2mm smaller if need be.

Does anyone have a link to the Ilford 2015 ULF promotion? I can't find it.

Thanks
