Would like to try Rollei retro 400s with red filter and would screw this one in if it’s worth to give it a go. It’s for sale so is it okay to invest?

Not with that make, but I have shot IR with a dark red filter made for IR film, in the old days Kodak. I don't know if you need anything but a standard W25 for Rollei retro 400, it's not a true IR film.

It will give you a result somewhere between that of a #25 Red and an R-72. So, if its cheap, then try it.

You'll have to allow at least 2 stops of under exposure.
Personally I think Rollie film doesnt need a strong filter, it already is quite contrasty. A yellow or orange would be ok .....of course if you want intense IR look thats probably as close as you can get with out using IR film.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts!
I don’t want the ir look rather the deep tones and contrasty look and this filter then will suit.
