In my chem notes, I jotted some facts from "Mason, 1966." Anyone know the full title, author, publisher?

Many thanks!

Photographic Processing Chemistry, L,F.A. Mason, 1966, Focal Press, I think that's the first edition. Mason was head of research at Ilford, it's a very good informative book.

Now I can try to find the real thing.

"Modern Photographic Processing" by Haist used to be at the Denver Public Library. I checked on line (I'm now in FL) and nada. Probably stolen, is my guess. I see asking prices of $150-$500 on line. I checked with Wiley to see if there were any plans to republish. Of couse not, despite the prices being an indicator. Suggested CD, asked about copyright. They are just sitting on the copyright. If Haist had been published one year earlier, the copyright would be expired!

I found it!

Although Amazon has nothing even with its used vendors, I found one at Fletcher Free Library in Vermont, acting as an agent for another library. $20 + $4 shipping. I hope this listing is still valid! I bought it.

Since the copyright has long expired unless renewed - I'll check - I will make this available on CD for a small fee for those interested.

(BTW, forget Google. I use www.clusty.com , a meta search engine. Many, many more results for most searches and it, well, clusters them by topic!)

Paul, if you do a search here on APUG you'll find contact details for the current version of Grant Haist's book, which you can buy direct from him.

At much higher prices than I paid! Anyway,

No kidding? Updated from 1969 (?) ?

I've done a lot of internet searching and I've not come across any reference to a newer edition or his own sales.

Thanks, I'll poke around here some more.
