Has anyone here ever heard of this 35mm Rangefinder? (EDIXA WIRGIN made in Germany) I found one in my dads old camera collection and thought it would be fun to play with. It has a nice coated lens on it 43mm f2.8 Isconar and seems to be well built? It has a Pronto Shutter and Msync for flash bulbs. I tried a few shots with this camera and some flash bulbs, film is in the JOBO as I write.

Google Wirgin Camera and you'll find all you could reasonably want to know: Edixa was the model name. I have had a couple -- not for many years -- and basically they're pretty cheap and nasty. They look good when they're new, or haven't been used much, but as users, I wouldn't bother if I were you. A rigid-bodied Retinette looks similar but is a better camera; a folding Retina looks quite different and is a vastly better camera.

Cheers,

Roger
