I got this pinhole camera from a friend and would like ti try it out. It is missing some pieces that hold the front plate vertical when I extend the bellows. Otherwise it seems in pretty good shape. Does anyone know what camera this is, brand name or any other information ? Has anyone used this model ? What photosensitive material is it used with ?

Regards,

Peter

I don't know the model, but I can tell you 2 things: First, make sure the bellows are light tight. If they're not, they can be patched, preferably with something that can withstand the rigors of the folding and unfolding, such as gaffers tape. Second, you can use sheet film with it, but it might be easier to use paper negatives (there's a forum for that here: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)).

What size is it? Measure the back for the film opening, which is likely 4x5, 5x7, or 8x10 (hard to guess from the picture). If you don't have a sheet film holder for it, after you measure it you can look on ebay for gently used ones. 4x5 film holders go for as little as $12.

The big question to me is the size of the pinhole. Is it easy to remove the holder for the pinhole? If so, you could use a scanner to measure it.

Great find! That should be a lot of fun once you get it up and running

Those four slits may bear springs, holding those three actuators.
But what is the idea behind those two holes/recesses?
