Well, it looks like he's made some changes in his life, including teaching at a University. So, like some youtubers have done in the past, maybe he terminated his channel. Maybe you can reach out to him through his website?

Interesting. It was still there about 10 days ago.
My guess is that it was no longer well-monetized and so wasn't worth the immense effort he was putting into it. He's better off putting more of his time into making art anyway.

One possibility is the account was hacked and lots of Bitcoin or Porn video ads were pushed out through it. YouTube bots will quickly shut down the accounts that happens to and it can take a while for the channel to reappear (if it ever does).

Possibly, as this happened to a friend of mine in Japan who had a huge following on Instagram, which also took out her FB page... The thing is, Borut has not mentioned anything on his FB page.

People don't always publicize it. Generally, it's your own fault that you get hacked - by clicking a link in an email that executes malware (that then scrapes all your usernames and passwords from your browser). Some people might find it embarrassing.

His latest IG post says his gmail account was hacked.

His IG and YouTube got taken over and used for some bitcoin scam videos. He seems to have recovered his IG, and the YouTube account has been taken down (temporary maybe?). IG suggests he's running a workshop at the moment so I guess he's too busy to sort everything out. His Patreon is still up.

I can confirm it looks like it was hacked. It was playing some Bitcoin Livestream nonsense.

That's exactly what happened. I saw that he was livestreaming, opened up the video and it was a stupid bitcoin thing that had been streaming for 16hs by then. Hopefully, he'll be able to recover access to everything.

He'll need to prove he's who he says he is and reset all his passwords. But he can get the channel back if he tries. He might need to spend a day on the phone, though.
