Anyone know where to buy Adox Rodinal in the US that will ship?

I've been looking to try Adox Rodinal for developing some B&W film but all of the sources I know either list it as 'backordered' or 'in-store pickup only' - and I have no local store that sells it. I've checked B&H (won't ship), Adorama (backordered), Freestyle (backordered, just updated it's delivery date from June 17 to August 5th), Glass Key (won't ship), etc. Fotoimpex just received stock but they're in Germany and the shipping charge to the US is very high.

Does anyone know of a US source that has it in stock and will ship?

The process is closer to ceviche than any sort of cooking. Using potassium salts you can produce a shelf-stable developer that may outperform commercial versions.

Here's a bit of 100% crop from Kentmere 400 in 1+100 stand development from some homebrew. Happy hunting!

 
I've been making Gainer's EZ Rodinal for probably at least a decade now. I understand your feelings though. I'm tired of making it. If B&H shipped it I would probably stop.

Stick with the Adox too. That is the good stuff.
 
Adox version of Rodinal is excellent stuff. I think it's in short supply due in part because when it does show up people buy extras.
 
I have the Adox version, it works great, much better than the others in my experience. I looked for it on the web just now, couldn't find anyone in the US that has it, looks to be out of stock everywhere.
 
@logan2z but you're in Bay Area, why don't you pick it up at Glass Key? They have SF and Oakland pickup locations.

I'm well over an hour's drive from either of their locations so I was hoping to find it online somewhere without trekking to SF or Oakland. Since Freestyle had said they were getting it June 17th (and they will ship it ground) I figured I'd wait, but they just revised that date to August 5th. If I can't find it anywhere else I might take the drive to SF and pick some up.

Thanks for the offer. A friend might be up in the city this weekend and has offered to swing by Glass Key and pick up a bottle. If that doesn't pan out I'll contact you.
 
I got a couple of bottles from Glass Key, along with a bunch of film. Great shop, the guys are a real pleasure to deal with.

Glad you found a source. I used to go to Glass Jaw but they were too easily "floored" when you hit them with questions
