I have one that takes great shots, meter is accurate and the lens is very sharp.
but the viewfinder has a light brown splotch in the upper left corner that I'm thinking is fungus, so I want to take apart the viewfinder for a cleaning.
anyone know how or can point me to a YT video. Google has let me down.
It is more likely that the silvering is flaking or stained. More than likely you would have to replace the prism. I'd just ignore the issue. However, if you want to remove the top, here is a YouTube tear down.
I also attached a disassembly jpeg. I've repaired many of the L series cameras but it isn't easy. Good Luck.

thanks for the pic & link, I probably will ignore it. since it doesn't really obstruct the viewfinder that much.
I saw that video, but had less then positive feelings towards it, since the person doing it, just seemed to be ripping things out with little to no care and didn't put it back together.
