Hi,

I moved to Reno, Nevada a couple of years ago from the US Midwest. Have been enjoying all the surrounding beauty! Am wondering, are there any other APUGers in the Reno/Tahoe/Carson City area?

Thanks,
Dale

I'm in the Bay Area but get up there from time to time. If you like spring wild flowers hit Mt. Rose and surrounding meadows come June/July. Also beautiful meadows in the Desolation Wilderness up the Rubicon trail above Tahoma and Meeks Bay if you can get up there.

Richard,

Yes, Mount Rose is only 40 minutes away, and I was just in the meadow snowshoeing a couple of weeks ago. Nice place. I like your work; timeless images of the Bay Area. Let me know if you're heading this way sometime, maybe we could shoot up around Tahoe.

I get up in the Truckee area every summer. I am down south. Last year I was there three times though. Chris

I'm from the higher Sierra further south, and now live in the Bay Area, but get around that area too. Don't underestimate the potential of the
seemingly scruffier Great Basin itself. A bit of weather can transform it into magic too, and rural Nevada has its own distinct flavor of unkempt rednecky charm, if you like all things rusting.

i try to get up to tahoe at least 4 times a year to shoot. would love to move up there but the job market is kinda limited there. love shooting around fallen leaf lake and the top of tunnel rock after making that crazy climb
