Anyone have a soft spot for complete strangers?

By the way, I love this place, I'm not getting shit done at work today.

*Opps, hide window boss aproaches*

resume, so much information and lots of really nice people, of course I have not ventured into posting images for critique so "nice people" has it's possibility of change. HA

The 180 and 210 componons fit into copal 1's, often seen inexpensively as copal/polaroid shutter, though be sure it has an aperture iris as well, many don't. (did I get all the caveats right Jim?)

Not to mention you do find Componon's in shutters, and several tabletop photographers (and myself) prefer them for product work, though my 135 and 210 Componons both get used for near infinity type work as well, quite satisfactorily, in fact.

Just remember the lens may not cover at distance but it could be a great micro lens

KEH has a 180 F5.6/315 F12 Symmar for $179.00

Yeah I saw that too along with a few other ones. Just a hair away from it being in my price range. DarinWC has been kind enough to send me the cells of a 210mm calumet, I will need to find a shutter for them but it is in the right direction.

I really appreciate all the help and suggestions, I can't wait to get started.

he is right!!!!
read up on pin hole cameras and see how the lens are made and try it out.

Sorry you lost me, which post are you referring to when you say "he is right" there were a few people talking about pin hole methods.

Thanks

BIG PROPS to Darin! He sent me these cells and I got to use them for the first time this past weekend. I put them in a Prontor press shutter that I bought for parts. I opened it up (scary and interesting) and cleaned it, put a spot of lube on the timing mechanism and everything seemed to work well. I posted a couple of the pics in my gallery, the second one was taken at 1s and looks like it worked pretty good.

Anyway, Thanks to Darin (sent PM) This place is awesome!
