Hello all,

I recently got a Luna-Flash 2 attachment for my SBC Pro like the one here in this ad:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Gossen-LUNA-FLA...=Camera_Flash_Accessories&hash=item5d27b86c5c

It did not come with a manual and many Google's did not turn up much info

I get the basic concept, but this attachment has a few tricks i'm not familiar with.

1st. At the top of the rotating head there is a slider switch that says 0 - +5. I assume that it some kind of sensitivty adjustment, but am not sure or why you would.

2nd. The the diffusion dome slides out of the way so you can read reflected flash readings? In what situation would this be handy?

3rd. I know the flash symbol on the SBC coresponds to 1/125 sync, but my A-1 max is 1/60th. Is the correction for this simply to close down a stop from the reading? Or is a correction even needed because the flash output is based on f-stop and not shutter speed?

And, if anyone has a copy of the manual they would like to send, I would greatly appreciate that!

Thanks!

@3: it depends. in case flash lighting is the only lighting, it doesnt't matter. The more continuous lighting there is too, the more you have to stop down, so meter the continuous/flash lighting ratio.

For the manual you only have to go to the Gossen site...
They only provide the German manual though:

For #3, lets assume that the flash is the only light/no ambient. Would there be a need to "correct" for the sync speed? Or could I just shoot at the f-stop it gives me and my 1/60th sync?

The nominal flash duration would be 1/500 or much less, so much shorter than the flash meter gate time and even more short than your chosen exposure time. Thus there won't be any need for correction.
