Water temp in the summer can be about 78 degrees in Louisiana. Couldn't find any info on the web so I thought maybe I would ask y'all what your thoughts are.
I lived in Turkey for quite a dew years I just processed at the ambient water temperature which was 26-27ºC that's more than 78ºF, 27ºC is 80.6ºF. I never have an issue.
Most modern B&W films are well hardened to there's no need to use a tropical developer.

I did film in the tropics at 83-85 F all the time, I ended using high dilutions and lighter agitations, with no problems with a softer emulsion, but I wasn't using anything but Tmax's and Ilford, I would think the Foma/Arista might have more potential for that issue. FX-1 and Beutler's.
90f was common practice with Tmax 100 when it first came out. There was an article in the old Darkroom Techniques magazine about Tmax 100 at 90f degree.
