Anyone ever used a rangefinder coupled Canon FL lens?

Has anybody used a SLR lens that was converted to M mount and is rangefinder coupled? The mount is definitely modified, it does not seem to be an adapter you can take off. I just finished a test roll to see if the lens actually focuses correctly, just waiting for it to dry so I can scan it.

Back in the day in L.A a camera repair company, Lewis's, shop in Redondo Beach, he passed away in the mid 70s or so, the shop closed. As I recalled very expensive. Over the years I'v seen the Swiss Kern macro 50mm converted, the Nikon 85mm.

I never understood why anyone would pay for a fairly good SLR lens to be put a Leia, maybe a Alpa Kern but a Canon FL 50mm, what's the point?

No idea who converted this. I ended up returning it as it blocked the rangefinder window on my leica cl.

If there would be no F1.4 lens for a rangefinder camera or if it was restrictve expensive, such modification might make sense.
