I'm at a loss. It's 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" with a 3/8" recess. The reason I say recess is because it has a 34mm hole, so it was designed for lenses with a 32.5mm rear thread, and these are usually shorter focal length lenses which often need a short recess.
There's no brand name or number on it, but it does not look home-made.
Nope! I've worked with and rebuilt omegas with weird oblong boards before! Everything my university darkroom has is weird and oblong. I'd put money on it being an Omega part. I'm not sure *what* omega though. Doesn't look big enough to fit the 4x5s i've worked with.
It might be a one off custom made board, made in a machine shop or by someone with machine tools or access to machine tools for given lens. The standard Omega board looks to pressed from a single sheet of metal, I cannot tell if O/Ps board is press or welded. Might be for a B 7 or 8? Could not find an image of the recessed board, but listed for 35mm lens.
I think the lens board in question is a custom-made version of this:
(Pics are of an original Omega recessed lens board for a D5, etc that I sold a while ago.)
